When to stop swaddling?

Ds is 10 weeks old, I can't remember how old dd was when we put her in a sleeping bag instead. Is there a 'normal' age to stop swaddling?

We put DS in a grobag as soon as he fitted it properly - ie it couldn't bunch up over his head. Probably about 10-12 weeks?
