Okay - I know this has probably been covered a million times before but I can't find the threads. We're trying to buy a new house at the moment - hopefully one we'll be in for the next ten years or so. Ds (4) and dd(2) happily share a room at the moment but at what point would they need/want seperate ones. Please say never cause I've seen a lovely two bedroom place....

I think that once the eldest child reaches 7 years old it's illegal for them to share - of course I might be totally wrong about that!

It not illegal for them to share, however they may want to have some private space at some point. With housing associations, for some bizarre reason you get extra points for having kids sharing.

I shared with my brother till I started secondary school, don't remember having any problem with it.

Surely until one of them explicitly expresses otherwise?
I shared with my two sisters (slightly different I know), until I was 16, it was always just an accepted fact.. I know boys and girls are different, but they are family...back in the old days it was very different :)

was just going to say, my Dad was brought up in a tiny 2 up 2 down (with toilet outside and no bathroom!!) he had 2 Sisters and 3 BrothersShock

I would think until it beacme a problem/embarrasment for your Children
