Christmas Eve colic all-nighter. Ugh.

My usually calm and sleepy 7 week old has chosen THE most inconvenient night of the year to be up from 2am and counting (now 5.30am) with colic/wind/general misery.

Any moment now my 3 year old will come bounding in with her stocking of presents to excitedly unwrap at silly o'clock and I've got two days of family chaos joy ahead of me to get through on zero sleep. DH sleeps through the lot, natch.

Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone?

I'm with you, been a rubbish few nights anyway but was up till 11pm building DSS's table football and DD1's play kitchen.

DD2 14 weeks up 12-2am, DD1 2yo up 2-4am, DD2 up 4:15 - 5am, DD1 up for the day at 5am. DD2 now also up.
Can't do any present opening till DSS arrives from his mums at 10am so got to keep DD1 away from them for 4 more hours.

All I want for Christmas is some sleep!!

I am in that boat every night with 11 week dd. reflux plus colic/wind joy daily from 2am. But it is Christmas so at least there are fun things coming up very soon! Enjoy, and I hope your LO goes back to sleeping well tonight

Oh PrayingforBeatrice my heart goes out to you. I hope you have a very special Christmas with your precious little one. I will indeed hug my two a little tighter today.

Thanks other posters! Solidarity in screaming eh. Yes it will pass, and I know the pains could be much worse as DD1 had reflux for 5 months so tonight's antics weren't a patch on that. I was just rolling my eyes at it being Christmas Eve, 'tis all.
