What would you do? Presents Xmas day or Boxing Day?

Hello

I have 3 dc's ages 9,8 & 2. The older 2 have a different Dad to the youngest & this year they are spending Xmas day with their Dad. They will therefore have stockings & Xmas presents at their dads on Xmas day & are coming home on Boxing Day for their presents from us.

Now I'm not sure what to do for the little one. She's not quite 2 & wouldn't know the difference if we waited for Xmas presents until Boxing Day when she could have them with her siblings but dp is Xmas mad & feels that she should have her presents on Xmas day & why should she wait...

What would you do??

I would let her do most of them on xmas day and then maybe save a couple of smaller ones for her to open on boxing day with the other children.

I would have said keep them for Boxing Day, but if your DP feels that strongly then do it Christmas Day, they aren't his kids after all, so I guess he won't want to wait.

You can give stocking and/or one present one day and another present the next if you are giving several gifts. Stretching the festivities out a bit is part of the fun when you have a big family/multiple relatives to visit etc.
