hi there every one,

well in a previous thread i told you about my conditional offer for podiatry, well i've accepted place and was sitting down tonight to fill in my PN1 form when i read on the notes that if i'm going to get an nhs bursey (which i will be) then i don't need to fill this in.
my question is this, what do i do now?. i've looked on www.nhsstudentgrants.co.uk but it seems to suggest i wait until i get a firm offer ie pass my exams, this all seems a bit last minute to me.

what have other nhs students done in this situation, please advise.
(it's goingt o be a degree course and i'll need to apply for childcare grant too) thanks any help would be great as i feel like i've a mountain to climb.

right, first thing tomorrow phone the student finance line, look it up on th net, explain to them and they will tell you what to do know and what to wait for. make suer you get the choice between childcare or parents learning allowence ( one is worth more than the other but you can only have one) and if in wales get the ala forms ( asssembly learning allowence)
good luck XX

when I got a firm offer, I was then sent a form about 3 weeks before start of course which I had to fill in and return to the finance department. This was in Wales though so not sure if its the same everywhere.
My bursary started the same month I did, had to wait about 3 weeks i think

I didn't get my NHS busary form until really late on (pointless as I get nothing anyway grrr). They are really unorganised, so I would definately push push push. They are really hard to get through to on the phone, e-mail is quicker.
