Hi, looking for some advice please? DS is 9weeks and is beautiful and healthy. Weeks 3 to 7 he had a breakout of baby acne which looked awful but didn't worry/bother me or DS at all. The acne has now cleared but DS has dry skin on his face, particularly his ears and behind his ears. Can I put anything on this?? I thought I could use contravene, sudacrem or vaseline but Im told that using this will dry it out further.
Any tips??

U can try aqueous cream. Can buy it in boots. Or ask your health visitor for baby oilatium. I used the aqueous to wash dd with when she was a newborn as she had very dry skin. It helped a lot.

Told by who?

Sudocrem do a skin cream in a white tube that is an excellent skin moisturiser. Failing that Avent Bottom Balm/Butter. Yes I know it says it's for bottoms but it used to be called Avent Magic Cream - and it really was. You could use it anywhere and it worked. For some reason they renamed it but the formula is still the same.

I use lanisoh nipple cream. Haven't needed it for the nips so better than wasting - works a treat :)

I used Neil's Yard baby balm which is natural and very gentle on baby's skin. Smile

We had this with DS. He had baby acne, which left dry skin on his ears, eyebrows and scalp. The Dr prescribed Doublebase cream which helped.

My HV always advised me to use olive oil for that age.

thanks for all your advice! I got some double base and it seems to be doing the trick! Smile
