Can you wash cloth nappies well enough with eco balls?

All excited about going for cloth nappies for number 2 (and beyond hopefully!) but just thought- we use ecoballs to wash at the moment- anyone know how these will cope with stinky nappy loads?
Thanks

I have wondered this too. There are mixed reviews on Amazon.

I always have done. (Same reusable nappies for 2 years) I sometimes put a scoop of oxy in the prewash section if they're looking a bit dull..

Never had smells or leakage problems.

I do, absolutely fine. I've used both powder and balls with nappies at various points and wash in exactly the same way. I think the balls are better because it means you never get any residue build up. I do a cold rinse (you can do a cold prewash instead if your machine has the ability) then a quick wash at 60. It is the cold rinse that stops the stink whatever form of cleaning agent you are using.
