Can you do more than one OU course at a time ?

I'm struggling to decide which to do. I want something that starts asap and there aren't many except a few short courses.

Would they let me do 2 together, and would I get funding for both being a single parent ?

You can do 2 together yes, although normally they don't recommend it if you're new to OU study.

Re: financial awards, I think you have to be doing a minimum of 60 points to qualify, but there should be full info on the OU website Smile

Thanks Spacedonkey, will check out the points.

Nutty, I'm compeltely wrong (just looked it up) - if you're studying 30 points + you'll get your fees paid if you're unemployed or on a low income, and also :

"We also provide funding for courses of less than 30 credit points that do not attract any support from the government course fee grant scheme. As this funding is limited, only those students who are unemployed or on certain benefits will generally receive support for these course fees."

Not only that but you could get up to £500 towards a new computer!

"If your course has a compulsory requirement for a personal computer and you do not have access to one, then you could get up to £500 towards the purchase of a PC. To be eligible to take part in this scheme you need to have been awarded the maximum course fee grant. Qualifying students will be contacted, once they have registered for their course, with further details of how to participate in this scheme."
