Brushing teeth

Ok so I plan on brushing DD s tooth, but have no idea when to do it at night. We take her up to start bedtime at 6.30 then it is story, bath, feed then bed. When do you do it. She is 6 months and bf. Got no clue when to try and fit brushing teeth in as she needs to feed before bed.

best time is after the last feed at night.

Marking place as I was about to ask similar question. Dd 12 mth and no teeth but now has six coming at once. Don't want to brush if her gums are tender as these teeth come through - what did you all do? Apologies if this is hijacking the thread but it seems in the same ball park :)

Fine with the hijacking. I am confused as she feeds then I put her down. I wouldn't like to disturb the peace, calm and dark by then trying to brush her teeth after feeding.
What did others do?

Secret, we stated by putting a little toothpaste on a clean cloth and rubbing that on her gums/tooth. If you LO doesn't mind this on her tender gums, it might be a good place to start.

As long as the teeth are brushed thouroughly(sp?) then bm actually doesnt do any harm. (So I have read on here a lot of times maybe have a quick google) We for a long time brushed dd's teeth then she would be bf to sleep (and probably wake in the night for a feed or 4 )

However if teeth are not brushed thoroughly and there are traces of food left then adding bm can cause decay.

Our dentist advised rubbing a tiny spot of toothpaste on with a clean finger, after the last bf of the night. You can even do it when dc is sleeping.
