hi all,

My daughter will soon be turning one and I wanted to arrange a nice baby sensory party for her. Since I don't know too many people with babies in that age group do you think it will be a good idea to invite other babies from her nursery? We would like to invite the parents as well to get to know each other...should I hand out invitation to the nursery staff mentioning the plan for the baby sensory party and snacks and drinks for the parents? What do you think the invite should surely highlight?....appreciate any help and advice

Well, I wouldn't. Your DD doesn't have friends yet, all she has are babies the same age who divert attention from her. It's best to keep parties very small at this age because it's so easy for them to get overstimulated and distressed and I would make it only family. There'll be years and years for parties where she has actual friends and where she'll remember it.

I'd just have a family party if I were you, and only invite other babies if their parents are your particular friends. DD will have a lovely time being fussed over and ripping the wrapping paper off loosely wrapped presents.
