Ds is 2.7 is day trained from two months ago but not night trained. Many nights- but not all- he wakes up with a dry nappy. But like I say its not all nights, and I dont want accidents in our bed!!

I had a plastic sheet on our bed anyway when DS co slept, but I found he was fine and didn't actually have many accidents at all. I think he's had about three ever. However he was in his own bed by that age, so perhaps I'm not being very helpful Grin

You can't train for nights - it's solely down to the production of a hormone that doesn't come until they're much older. 75% of boys are still wet at night at 5yo. It just happens by itself.

Thanks. Yes I've heard that about boys. Maybe well wait till he's in his own room then ( in a few months)

I've told DD that when she has a dry nappy every morning for a week then she can try sleeping without one.

Trying to potty-train her was impossible - she utterly refused, so we gave up. The week she turned 3 she decided that she wanted big-girl knickers and that was that. We've had about 4 accidents in 6 months. I imagine that it will be the same for nights - when she is ready she will. In the meantime, I would rather buy nappies then endlessly wash sheets.

That's a good idea re the week thing thanks

We had a waterproof under sheet thing, although they never did have accidents.

I use pampers bed mats atm as we had a problem with night time nappy leaks for a while. Which is why im nervous about night training bc those accidents in a shared bed were a right pain!!

I co-slept snd waited for them to go into their own bed before removing night time nappies!
