How much time to you spend playing with your kids?

Just want to know how much time you think should be spent engaging with your kids through play and/or educational stuff? I have a 2 nearly 3 yr old DD & a 9 nearly 10 yr old DS. With the DS i spend time each evening chatting , reading, or doing something like monopoly but sometimes it's rushed.
Same with the DS but usually I just read to her, I don't often get time to play with her as I am always so busy in the day. Just wondering what other people do?

DD is 3.7, DS is 2. I guess we spend about three hours a day playing, reading, colouring etc?

Not much because whenever I try, he tells me to go away.
