Is my 17 mth DD really the only toddler in the country who naps in the morning???? We've been to hell and back with her sleep (night and naps) and its just getting to the point where its acceptable. Changing her naptime is just not something I am willing to do. She goes down at around 10am for 1hr 20mins (not a minute more or less!). Every single toddler group round my way is at flippin 10-11:30. Why oh why oh why?????

where we used to live the 1 o/clock club was open 4 days a week 10-12, 1-4. That was brilliant.

Yes,I wish there was anything on at 3pm' especially these dark afternoons. I know it'sbecause the types of places toddler groups would be are busy with after school stuff but still. I tend to meet up with friends then.

My DC always napped in the morning. They were early to bed, early to rise so always needed a nap by about 11 at the latest (funnily enough at nursery they always hung on until after lunch).

It is very annoying having to rush back from a morning activity with a sleepy, grumpy toddler. Then you want to take them out tire them out in the afternoon so what do you do. I've usually gone to soft play and I'm lucky in that my local children's centre does have an afternoon session but I know that's not the norm.

I've never seen any groups after 3pm. Sometimes there is story time at the library, Gymboree type things, or music classes after 3 but these are quite £££

I agree. When DS1 was on 2 naps we could never go to anything, as by the time he'd woken from the first at 9.45/10, nappy changed, bf'd, got ready to go out, walked to wherever, the groups were all finishing.

All our children's centre stuff seems to happen in the 12-2 window. A complete nightmare for any toddlers who nap really (and any who eat lunch at a normal sort of time!)
