Help! early waking because of dirty nappy...

Not sure ther is an answer to my problem but am pretty tired and desperate!

My 6-month-old Gina baby is pretty great but...(there's always a but!) he has starting to wake up every morning at about 4.30am because he has a dirty nappy. If me or my husband change him he will yell afterwords because he wants a feed (which he definitely doesn't need, he's podgy and feeds well)and I end up giving in and fee him (he's still on 2 breast-feeds a day)(we have a toddler too) and then he usually will fall a sleep in bed and then i can't sleep. Or i move him back to bed and he will be noisy (gurgling loudly etc) until I get up. I can't win it seems.
We tried giving him water, a dummy etc Nothing seems to work...
Any tips on what I could do to resetlle him (he definitely needs a nappy change when he wakes up as he will not sleep at all otherwise)? Thanks...

personally I would feed him and put him back in his bed (if you can) or leave him in your bed and go and sleep by yourself elsewhere (spare bed? sofa?).
why can't you sleep with him in the bed btw? can you pull the cot up beside the bed? put the mattress on the floor?
I would say if he is asking for a feed at this time in the morning he "needs" a feed - the milk and the comfort. I would say that a baby of this age wanting a feed at this time is about as normal as could be?
