Sorry that should be clearer, it's on the bambino mio site, not E'sD.

Bluetinkerbell · 03/02/2013 14:12

nappy I've also got a Miosolo flying saucer, possibly not even washed, and certainly never used, if you'd like it, let me know, would like £12 for it.

PurplePidjin · 03/02/2013 15:16

Hats are £15+p+p doesn't have to do a bunny, I'm currently working on Yoda!

:o I know, but floppy bunny ears are adorable! What do you use for them so I can look at colours?

I just registered interest in finishing my degree with the OU in october! I did half of 1st year at Edinburgh in 2006 but I had to drop out for health reasons. They offered a deferral but pretty much as soon as I was home dh proposed (he rather missed me :o) and I tried to go back when the middle one was nearly 1 but it was too much, both the childcare fees and the workload with 2 under 2s. Dd1 starts school in august so I'll just have squish to deal with and no childcare costs so I think I will go for it. At the moment I qualify for a free place, but if dh gets another offshore job then we can afford to pay the fees anyway. I think if it were just me and squish in the house all day I'd be bored stiff- I'm so used to being barely-time-to-sneeze busy, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Hopefully by then the library will be fully functioning and business back to normal so I will have plenty time to study and do everything else. Will qualify before squish starts school then will decide what to do with it Smile

Mil has taken big2 for tonight as dh is at work right now and won't be done til v late and squish has to be at the hospital for her op at 8am, so they need taken to school/nursery in the morning. Dh managed to wrangle the day off tomorrow (and that is v rare) so he will do pick up at 2.45 so I can stay home with her after the op. Squish is currently asleep, as is the dog, so it is deathly quiet in here that I feel like blasting the stereo but I don't want to disturb them so I'll maybe just stick the headphones in instead :o

PurplePidjin · 03/02/2013 17:08

I use nice tough acrylic from my local shop, easy to clean and baby proof. Pick your colour. I either use chunky or I double-strand dk with a 6mm hook.

Best of luck for Squish tomorrow

Hi Bluebell, thanks for the offer but I'll decline. I've spent 1/5 of my wages this month on fluff. Blush I'll be selling some of mine to make room! I got carried away and but some I this yesterday and some Bambooty today as well as those off you. I have a serious problem! Damn you EBay.

Best of luck for you both 2moro KFC, I'll be thinking of you both. I could do with blasting some choons too. In the week sometime!

Manchester Real Nappies are looking for people in the area where I live for a free trial pack! Does anyone know someone in the Trafford area who would like to put their names down?

Wonder how BFG and Valium are getting on?

PurplePidjin · 04/02/2013 06:12

Grrrrr, nappy fail. Except, being sparrow fart o'clock, I've been feeding him for 2 hours when if I'd changed him I'd have had some sleep Angry

How do i make a pf last the night? Don't tell me to buy more nappies that's not an option!

OP posts:
LeBFG · 04/02/2013 09:12

Yeah, where? I'd like a little hat too Pidj.

You're making me feel inspired again KFC. I'll have to get the sewing machine out again this morning. Love the idea of a nappucino too...wish I lived closer!

NH - pleased things are looking up a bit. As soon as the teeth are through, they normally stop hurting, poor thing.

I'm thinking about having a market stall selling new nappies, slings and moses baskets which are all really expensive in France. They're also a bit alternative but I think there is a cultural change in the air - and I'm sure there are more left-field mums in Toulouse. If I load a pallet or two up the delivery costs from the UK will be pretty low....only problem is DH isn't sold. He says market sellers never sell anything Hmm which begs the question why do they go there week-in week-out to sell nothing. Anyway, I hope to talk him around Grin.

PurplePidjin · 04/02/2013 09:50

A market stall supplementing an online business would do well I reckon. I'd go to eastern europe for slings, though, a lot seem to originate in Poland and Lithuania. If you source me the wool I'll do naice hats but the cost of materials is prohibitive by the time it gets here. I could have spent a fortune on wool (the real stuff) in Latvia last year, and that was tourist prices!

Bunny? Or something else? :)

NappyHappy · 04/02/2013 10:32

Thanks, he slept through last night but I spent the night on the sofa with Baby in his chair, coughing lots Sad

Where do babies sleep in France if not in Moses Baskets? You could get all the ex-pats on board!

Pidj, I am going to the PO today Wink

LeBFG · 04/02/2013 13:02

Babies sleep in their own rooms in giant cots with bumpers. Exclusively Grin. Although one old farmer neighbour did admit to co-sleeping in her day Smile. Nothing new under the sun. Have a big Brew and be easy on yourself today NH. Try and get a nap in at some point.

Thanks for the tip off Pidj. I may start by dipping my toe in the water - buying a few items from the UK and selling online just to see what I can get for them. It's one thing to see the price difference and go 'wow', it's another pursuading people to dip their hands in their pockets Hmm. If I want to sell items bought outside the EU then I'll have VAT and import duties on top Shock....hmmm.

rrreow · 04/02/2013 15:55

I'm so tempted by the Little Lambs size 1 special offer they have on at the moment.. Someone stop me! Or encourage me..? [sitting on hands smiley]

PurplePidjin · 04/02/2013 17:04

Rrreow, what can you sell to replace with the LLs?

Bfg, Poland is EU afaik so is Lithuania Wink

OP posts:
rrreow · 04/02/2013 17:45

I'm going to be selling some Miosolos soon but they were supposed to pay for the Bamboozles I already bought.. Blush

NappyHappy · 04/02/2013 19:30

Thanks BFG, we went shopping instead, getting out is always good! Apart from trying to collapse the buggy with the second seat on and fighting with it to take it off!

Pidj, expect a package Wink I found 2 more Nippas and put them in.

RR, we're getting as bad as each other! Confused Confused

KentuckyFriedChildren · 04/02/2013 20:38

Well the op went well, she is very tired and in some pain but the calpol seems to be working and we got back in time to do pick up from school on the way home. Unfortunately though the snow has finally hit, and as I may have mentioned when it snows here it SNOWS. I can guarantee there will be no buses from the village tomorrow and if it doesn't stop tonight we will be snowed in by morning. It has been a blizzard (as in can't actually see out of the window it is so thick Shock) for the past 4 hours and there is already near on a foot! We will either end up sledding to school or not going at all as if it is still a blizzard in the morning we won't be able to see where we are going so it will be too dangerous. Dh is at work (in inverness) so no idea if he will make it home as I know that his bosses car won't make it up the dirt track, the car got stuck the last time the snow was this bad. Not impressed. I could do without this atm as we have a very busy week ahead, ds has a v important salt appointment on wed, baby has jabs on thurs and I have an emergency dentist appointment on fri as part of the temp filling from my root canal fell out. I have my coil fitting on monday too and I've waited 6 weeks for that appointment so I really can't afford to rearrange. Plus we have all the usual medical appointments on top of all this so I do not have time to be snowed in. Worst case I will get one of the farms to take the fast track out to get me to inverness, but that is not really a good option as the fast track shouldn't be on the main roads really. Drama!

KentuckyFriedChildren · 04/02/2013 20:46

And random pic Pidj but this sort of colour with cream features and button eyes would be good, yes a bunny Smile

KentuckyFriedChildren · 04/02/2013 20:51

Oh and size it to be slightly too big for your boy as I guess they are similar sizes, let me know when you want paying

NappyHappy · 04/02/2013 20:55

Glad to hear it all went well Smile

You have got a busy week ahead, I hope you get out.

KentuckyFriedChildren · 04/02/2013 21:38

God me too! Such a pita, I feckin hate snow...

NappyHappy · 04/02/2013 21:42

We have had lots of lightening, I have never seen it so bad. Our lovely weather!

NappyHappy · 04/02/2013 22:34

Opened the door after the storm to find snow!

KentuckyFriedChildren · 04/02/2013 22:39

I have got a volunteer for my library who is really keen Smile I have 3 slings of my on to hire and another 2 on their way, plus 4 likely to be bought in the next few days and waiting for replies from various makes who I have asked for freebies. Trying to get a fundraiser going for the end of the month and hoping to get some prizes donated for a raffle, which will be on fb, so anyone can enter once I post it up as I have set up a paypal address for the library which is called Highland Sling (get it? not sure if anyone has caught onto the joke so far), you can look it up on fb.

PurplePidjin · 05/02/2013 02:17

Doubt we'll get snow down here but it's blowing a hoolie out there! I hate not getting out, sounds like a nightmare up there!

Ooh, fluffy post Thanks

So, deep raspberry with cream inner ears and tail and buttons for eyes. I'll pop it on the list and pm you with details when I'm done :)
