Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 01/01/2013 20:42

We're looking at months and years rather than days but he's strong and determined and we won't let it beat us.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 01/01/2013 21:00

Nope, it won't beat you, you will beat it. I do feel that thinking positive about things helps.

How has R been today? Is he allowed onto the ward? Just asking as he's a baby and with all these bugs going about they might say no visits yet.

I attempted a trip to the park today. Its only a 20min walk away but my god DS1 complained all the way back about the cold then started crying and whining. I nearly taped him to a tree and ran off.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 01/01/2013 21:50

I didn't exactly give them the option - we were admitted via a+e what were they going to do kick us out?

The nurses love it, ds is very cute and I keep him quiet so as not to bother any one. They let me use the staff room for nappy changes! Dp has a photo of us on his table and we're getting pretty famous Blush

Its not like he's a mobile toddler running around, and its not a surgical or medical ward.

He's still cluster feeding think we're in for a growth spurt

Aww, bet he's super cute now he's out of the newborn stage and chubbed up.

I remember the last time DH got an ambulance and he took a packed bag with him as there was no way he was leaving til he was sorted.

Are the nurses great? And the old dears funny?

Are you mil free still?

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 02:32

He's still pretty new born looking!

I should have called an ambulance, didn't think. I guesed what happened immediately and my first thought was getting him away from the dn's and into a hospital for treatment. Although SIL is claiming credit for being the first to realise... Erm, who exactly took action here?! Ah well, let her have her moment

Back at MILs, home in 3 1/2 sleeps :o

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 03:21

Not long!! Hopefully it'll fly by. Its a horrible situation to be in especially with a small dude.

Just fed small person who is currently blowing raspberries and shouting. Wink

Probably doing bum ones too.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 05:22

One day we'll look back and laugh. Its that or crack up Hmm

Ds is feeding again. He's fed for an hour at 2 and 5 is that normal?

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 08:30

I'm not sure with Bf but it will be, boy 1 fed constantly pretty much every hour or so some days when he was a few weeks old, then it went to every 3 or 4 then back to 2. Boy 2 was the same and boy 3 its every 3 to 4 and even then he feeds on and off for an hour or gulps the whole lot down in one.

I remember mum telling me I fed them too much and it should be every 4 hours. She shut up when I told her 'how would you like being starved for 4 hours and having to wait?'

Is little Mr in bed with you at mil's?

LeBFG · 02/01/2013 08:38

Yeah, pretty normal Pidj. Especially the long on/off sucky feeds in the evening. THey're stocking up for the night Grin and need a bit of extra comfort. Nothing is wrong when they're feeding a lot - always a good sign.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 10:00

It turned out to be 2 hours at 5! Then he slept till 9:30. Yes, he's in with me. He hates his crib so I saw no point bringing anything with me tbh. I think he'll be in with me for a while yet and dp in the other room.

Look at me being all hippy Hmm Oops! I'm not wearing tie dye!

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 11:40

Don't knock the hippy thing Wink don't the hippy mums call themselves crunchy mamas?

I used to get terrorised by the Chavs when I wore this gorgeous tie dye skirt I go it from Afflecks Palace. Now I just look a dick in a skirt.

Ds1 is back at school 2moro!!! Little does he know I'll be blitzing his room. I couldn't move in his bed last night for toys and had to shove all his toys out the way on the floor to make room for ds3 moses basket. He's got a lambskin in it and I've shrank it in the wash or by drying it too near the radiator! Blush

How is everyone feeling today?

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 14:01

I am however eating hippy food for lunch. Wink

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 18:05

Dp's coming out tonight :o

ValiumQueen · 02/01/2013 18:45

Good news PP

ValiumQueen · 02/01/2013 19:57

notgrown I started a weightless thread for new mummies with wibbly tummies if you fancied a bit of support when you are ready x there are over 50 of us, and we started Monday.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 20:13

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Whoooooyah!!!!!! That is fantastic news PP!!

Yes please VQ I could do with some others to do the journey with!

ValiumQueen · 02/01/2013 20:19

I think it will be a nice thread as we can talk babies too. Bit like this one - it is not just a nappy thread now is it

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 20:59

Nah, its a bit more than that Grin

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 21:06

We haz quiche :o

Dp is downstairs watching tv with his mum. Bliss.

I'd join the wibbly tum thread but a) the weight is melting off with all the stress and b) I'm hardcore about healthy eating and might shout at people Blush

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 21:09

PS we're still in full time cloth. Feel free to mention me the next time someone tells you they gave up because it was too much hard work Wink

ValiumQueen · 02/01/2013 21:11

Are your nappies behaving a bit better now PP ?

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 21:22

I had Falafel, verge burgers an red pepper hummus before (hippy food) then Pork for tea. I do eat healthy half the time its the other half that us my problem.

Wow, home! Brilliant! You can kind if relax now. How is he?

Yay for fluff!! And quiche.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/01/2013 21:39

ah, I think its a combo of gape on the left leg and saturation; practice makes perfect!

NotGrown, stop buying crap food and stop using the car for journeys under 2 miles. The weight will fall off and you can use the money you save for a holiday next year. Stick a quid in a jar every time you walk or resist temptation; it soon mounts up!

He's a bit slow and quiet but happy to be free. We've got a long old slog ahead.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/01/2013 21:50

I can't drive so walk everywhere. Which is one thing I suppose!

Always a gapey leg, usually underneath slightly round the back?
