do you take your dc to any classes or groups if so how often?
I take my son lots of places but not to many groups - i take him places to socialise with other kids and he is fab but im just having a little "oh shit" moment of maybe i need to take him to more groups?

Not really - very rarely.

DD has contact with other children twice a week at a crèche and we meet friends out; she's a confident, sociable little girl.

There wasn't this emphasis on classes and groups when the current generation of thirty-something parents was growing up and I don't think we do too badly socially Smile

We do swimming, baby massage and a coffee morning, so 3 a week. DH works v long hours so I really appreciate the company.

We do baby singing once a week and I have just started running a bumps and babes group which is one morning a week. Starting a baby gym class next week and ban by sighing in January. So two groups at the moment, will be four soon.
Oh works close by so its easy to meet for lunch or get a lift home (lazy)

My DC1 did ballet, some sort of arseing around to music group, toddler group and trampolining as well as being at nursery three days a week. Plus lots of meet ups with other mums and children.

My DC2 got taken to soft play on the odd occasion when I felt we needed to get out of the house. We didn't do any groups at all. He did do two mornings at nursery from the age of 2. I struggled to make new friends with children second time round and all my original friends with children had moved on by the time I had DC2.

I think we would all have been better off if I'd found a happy median.

12months old baby and she only does nursery twice a week, she only started in September and never before Ive taken her to any groups..se's got siblings (older ones) and nieces again olderones and she loves them...Ive no time for all of that. She comes with me to see my friends and they have children so she would be around other children but I couldnt ever plan ahead for a whole term that Ill be there on wed am etc ;)
