My dd has had her bottom two pegs for a while as three of her top teeth have just cut through the skin, I've been using a little plastic finger toothbrush from mothercare with no toothpaste or anything, is this ok or should I be brushing them properly by now?

I brush DS's teeth once a day with a toothbrush and toothpaste, especially now he's on solids.
