We have a keyhole in our living room door and I noticed DS (14m) fiddling with it, so I took the biggest key off my keyring and gave it to him. He's spent hours so far today playing with putting it in and out of the keyhole, looking at the key, walking around holding the key, poking things with the key, and currently has it in a Doidy cup.

Dd2's current obsession is gift bags from dd1's birthday. She has been wandering round for weeks putting random things in them and handing them to somebody saying 'Happy birthday' I have been gifted with some truly wierd thing.

Dd 2.8 is playing with her doll and making a cot out of the washing basket, while covering her dolly in the tea towel blanket!

He's playing with a carrier bag. He is 3 and he likes pretending to go shopping.

MegBusset · 11/11/2012 15:56

Mine is watching Cats & Dogs while humping the sofa.

ArthurShappey · 11/11/2012 16:48

Mine is playing with his engines and his wooden railway... He's rather obsessed with it, not a day goes by with my living room track free!

BonnieBlitheGoodgay · 11/11/2012 16:51

My 13mo DD is obsessed with her granddad's 'Sargent Major baton' thing.

She also loves the flippy magnetic case on my iPad and flicking the pages of apps around, but she won't play with any of the actual baby apps.

Morph2 · 11/11/2012 17:05

OP just be careful. This time last year DS was about 18 months and one day his dad was looking after him. Dad was in the kitchen for a couple of minutes and then went back into living room, DS was no where to be seen. He'd turned the key in the front door, unlocked it, opened door and was outside
waiting by the car!!

BraaaaaainsButterfield · 11/11/2012 20:26

Blimey! Better watch out! Luckily our front door is the original 1920s one and the catch is so stiff only DH and I know how to unlock it so if he manages that I'll know to put him on the G&T list immediately Grin

Thomas the tank on his wooden train track. And his Thomas DVD everything is Thomas with him :-)

MoelFammau · 11/11/2012 22:28

18mo DD is going through a phase of putting socks on her hands then trying to pick things up. It's been a week now and no sign of the novelty wearing off.

Goldenbear · 12/11/2012 00:36

DD is 19 months, her favourite things to play with this week are, my Jewellery box, a toy storage netting lined bin thing from Ikea which she walks around with it on over herself - she looks like a beekeeper. She is pretty keen on 'drawing' like her brother and using the rolling pin to hit play dough! Thomas track and a bald doll that she pushes around in a toy trolley.
