I am bloody awful parent

My kids have driven me up the wall since they came in from school. The eldest has whipped the others up into a frenzy until they were all nearly hysterical. I went absolutely potty and my eldest got a smack. I was ranting and raving about how disappointed I was in their behaviour and am now hating myself for being so fecking useless that this is how they are.

With 2.5 weeks off school looming, i feel like giving in now.

probably over excitement, crap to eat at school and tired at the end of the term. i'm sure you're not useless, just human x

MN is awash with mums whose kids are over tired as it is the end of term. You are not alone! Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. I've actually been shouting at a 17mo today. Pointless and horrible so I'm feeling like a rubbish mum as well
