With a startle-tastic 18 week old...

Am I being pessimistic?? Or should I prepare myself for the worst?

DH and I took DS to our local public fireworks display when he was tiny and it was great - he gazed at the fireworks for a few minutes, decided it was all too much to take in and fell asleep :) Best night's sleep we'd had in ages...

DC2 is due any day now so we'll be doing the same again.

DS was 11 months on his first fireworks night and was fine, however the following year he was whingy and didn't like the "big bangs".

Fingers crossed this year he'll be over it as it's such a big event for us!!

DS did Bonfire Night at 8 weeks. It's a huge display over 10,000 people go - it's incredibly loud and DS slept the entire time in sling with hat on...didn't even flinch - we had more issues when he was around 2yrs Smile

I wondering weather to take my 7 month old, I know she will like the colours jut not sure about the bangs, I might take her to the one down the road from mil we don't have to stand right in the thick of it then.
