What might help DD (3 yo) and DH 'bond' again?

DD has often had very prolonged, clingy 'mummy' phases. She had been much happier with DH again recently (really since DS was born 3 months ago). She's suddenly back to super clingy again and really horrible to DH. I'm hoping to suggest some things to him that might help them reconnect a bit.

He's very reserved and not particularly proactive. He does take it quite personally when she rejects him like this, and I can understand that, but it doesn't help! She is only just 3. She has been brilliant with the baby, but obviously a lot of this is related to how she feels about his arrival.

Any ideas about what he can do? I'd like to suggest things he could do with her at the weekends, that the baby and I 'can't' do.

Dh takes dd to a football class on the weekend. Sometimes they go out for brunch together afterwards too

Does DH ride a bike? If so, maybe get a bike seat and go out with DD?

Go to the playground/feed the ducks with hot chocolate afterward.

Swimming and the a special lunch treat.

Soft play? Just taking her out on the scooter/trike?

He does have a bike. We don't ride them much (hilly!) Maybe that would be good - definitely something I wouldn't do. How old do they need to be for those tagalong thingies? And I'll suggest swimming too and look out for something like football. There's a Saturday 'dads group' here but he won't go...
