Ds2 is 13 months and is not happy in his high chair, the tray dosnt come up against his tummy so all the food drops down between, it also dosnt pull up to the table so it feels like hes not quite involved when we are eating. Im looking at booster chairs so he can eat at the table with us but our table is pretty high and chairs low, even my 6 year old often feel more comfortable on his knees! is it possible to find a booster seat that will give good height?

I don't have one, but have you considered something like these:

We have this one:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000JVXZF2/ref=asc_df_B000JVXZF210232419?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B000JVXZF2

It's great because it is adjustable and we've used on both high and low tables and there is the tray if you ever do need it. Our daughter loves it.

We had this chair which you can take the tray off and pull up to the table like a standard dining chair, only with arms to stop toddler falling sideways. DS also used it at the weekend to do baking with dad by leaning the back against the kitchen worktop and standing on the seat. DS is 3.3 and we just adjust the depth of the seat to suit him and he can climb in himself.

alternatively, would your dining table accommodate on of these? They work well if you have a chair with a low enough back to fit it. We've used them effectively in cafes etc.

We had a Fisher Price booster seat like no 1 here:

www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=fisher+price+booster+seats&tag=googhydr-21&index=baby&hvadid=21651512268&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=21343992851623868423&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&ref=pd_sl_8xuvr21rc_e

It has legs you can raise a few inches and the tray comes off. It straps to a dining room chair but can also be used at ground level, if out camping or something. It folds down so it's quite portable. It's usable until they use a normal dining chair - can't quite remember when that is but maybe age 3.
