my 2yo ds fell over and sprained his ankle...........i think.

used the RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) practice last night.

not v swollen or bruised, but he wont/cant put any weight on it.

he can move his foot, toes etc and its not bruised. and i bandaged it up.

what would you do?

I'd wait another day to see whether he'll put weight on it. If not then I'd recommend gp/a&e just in case and make sure you make a fuss.

My boss just recently told me a story about his little girl. She fell of the trampoline and wouldn't put weight on the leg. Took her to A&E who told them to make her walk on it as she's probably just a bit frightened. Didn't want to send her for xray as 'too young'. This happend twice. Boss then took her to differnet A&E as after 1 week lo still in pain. In the end it turned out that it was actually broken!

Not saying that your ds is terribly injured but I'm always for erring on the safe side :)
