I'm feeling really rotten for not getting my 16 month old dd an easter egg when dh and myself will be chomping through ours on easter sunday (both chocaholics). My mil was asking us if she could buy her one and I felt really cruel saying no. What is the general opinion on this? Are there any alternatives so that she can be treated as well, or do we have to save our goodies until she has gone to bed?

I would buy her a nice book instead

If you do allow her some chocolate, just get something very small and she can have a bit of it at a time

my Dd got books and little gifts for her 1st easter, she was 10 months.
She also had a couple of white choc gifts, alittle chick, and a white buttons egg, she ate a little, then we ate the rest!!

I'm so sorry - I've only just read this! One of the thing I do is run a website, www.idealpresent.co.uk - we don't sell anything, just advise on great present ideas. The "What's Hot" secton has been totally dedicated to alternative Easter ideas (no chocolate in sight!)I'm just updating it now to take away the Easter theming! Do have a look!
