Timetable nightmare - who to contact?

Can anyone shed any light please? Have been trying to fit my open units into my timetable to also coincide with my childcare of three days per week.

So far the seminar tutors have been very understanding and offered to switch to more convenient times for me, but the school of one of my open units has said, when I told them I would likely miss one of two of their lectures, that I couldn't take the unit. Even though at 38 I am more than capable of downloading the lecture materials and doing the reading

There are no other open units which even vaguely fit in with my childcare days.

Does anyone know who I should contact at the uni about this? Tutor is crap and has said he has "no idea" about timetable issues.

Hmm. I'd go to the Faculty office & find the friendliest administrator & talk to her. Also the union should have a contact person for you.

It was the administrator who basically said tough shit - so much for widening participation!

Will try the union, thanks.
