Any ideas how to encourage a shy, introverted little boy, who happens to be DS1's best friend, to come for tea?

DS1 has been to play and for tea at his friend's house a couple of times and I have reciprocated the invite but his friend really doesn't want to come. His mum really wants him to, and particularly without his twin sister, so that he builds up his confidence.

Any ideas how I (or his mum) could perhaps encourage him to come and play. Ds1 is desperate to show him his toys etc.

Bump - anyone?

Maybe you could invite him with his mum and sister for a little while and build up to him coming on his own?
