Working parents. Is it always you who picks up your dc?

And are you pissed off with it.

Just wondered, dh and I both work. I'm a teacher, and I always have to pick yp dd. I have been on my feet for 9 hours by the time I pick her up, and just want to sit down for an hour.

But instead I have to rush home from work, collect her, do the whole teatime frenzy thing on my own. Dp works a long way off so can't get home in time (but he manages to sneak off early to go to the gym one day a weekHmm)

Just wondered if I was being a miserable cow, but I would just like someone else to do it sometimes

I am laughing at your DH thinking you could get out of a parents evening! There is a greater chance of a rocking horse taking a sh!t.

Me too, drives me mad and I am actually starting to get worn down with it.

Yep nearly always me .... 3dc arriving at different times from 3 different schools , 10 min drive each time to meet their bus' . I work full time from home which seems to mean that as I am at home all day I also get to all the work keeping house and home together.

We both do mornings, and leave at the same time, although he drops her off. Sometimes he has to leave early though so I got to drop her off too.

I think it's the sense of never being able to feel free of obligations. Dp once phoned me up saying he was going to be late home. I went mad because that is never ever an option to me no matter how much I want/need it.

I always pick up but DH does all drop offs. So not feeling terribly oppressed about it.
