Mine are just-turned 2 and 6 months old.
I found it essential to have help with housework and taking the older one out for the first 6 weeks but have been coping well after that. Having paid help for that period was WORTH EVERY PENNY (no grandparents nearby).
We aim to have mornings out every day otherwise I'd go mental. My holy grail is when they both sleep at the same time: 6 month old finally getting into the routine of a longish (1.5 hour) lunchtime nap with her big sister.
Cooking has almost come to a complete stop - can't be arsed cooking tea at the end of the day.
