Alternative to tea tree oil?

cairnterrier · 24/09/2012 14:26

I use a couple of drops of tea tree oil on the lid of the nappy bucket to try to avoid unwelcome smells in the bathroom. Since pregnancy though, the smell of tea tree oil now makes me gag! Can anyone suggest any alternatives?

Thanks

White vinegar

Lavender oil - that's what I used when I used a bucket, as I think tea tree oil smells minging. (I use a wetbag now, and don't need to use anything)

I've also used lavender (which is an antiseptic too) but also peppermint before. We recently started using a nappy bag with zip closure and found that to be good (also useful for hanging on the back of the bathroom door so avoids little ones being able to play with the bucket!)
