How soon did your little one move from standing unaided (albeit for a few seconds) to taking their first steps?

Pretty quickly, within a couple of days.

It took a while for my youngest - before he was a year old he could push off the floor and stand up for a few seconds (but refused to let go if he'd pulled up to standing Hmm ) but didn't walk until he was 14 months.

Ages - dd was standing from about 8m for a few seconds but walked at 14m.

About 5 minutes. But then mine never ever pulled up/cruised around on the furniture etc. She was a bum shuffler until 15 months and then just got up one day and started walking.

DD1 practically no time. She walked pretty early and never cruised.

DD2 loves cruising/holding onto our hands to walk (has done so since about 9 months and now 11 months). But nowhere near strong enough to stand unaided yet.

Thanks for the responses. I gather from the varied responses that it is hard to tell. Smile
