my mum used to draw and paint watercolour

she is no longer able to draw but still likes to paint with watercolours

however she needs to be able to have an outline already iyswim

my dad has been printing outlines on regular paper but they really need to be on watercolour paper

he has tried to print outlines onto watercolour paper but it wont go through the printer properly (too thick)

they are 450 miles away from me
I told him I would ask the wisdom that is mumsnet if they knew of any outlines on watercolour paper

long shot but I'll do anything to help them Sad

I also hope its ok to post in this topic
sorry if I'm in the wrong place, just let me know and I'll report it

Sorry can't help but if you post in the arts and crafts board or even chat you may find someone who is an exert

CMOTDibbler · 20/09/2012 20:53

If he went to a local printers with the outlines on a disk, they'd be able to print them onto watercolour paper - prob wouldn't cost much

omg orange, you are amazing

my only worry is that they may be too intricate for her

not having been there for a few months but knowing that she is rapidly declining

Also dad said to me that nothing will be too simple iykwim Sad

but wow , they do exist, I'm not onto a loser, thank you so much

I just googled ''outlines on watercolour paper'' and that was the first link I found so there could be different ones

So sorry to hear that she is declining Sad

Might also be worth contacting the alzheimers sociality to see if they can recommend anything, as painting is a good therapy.

never thought of the alzheimer society
