Toddlers birthday party

Hello, I have my son's 2nd birthday coming up in October and wanted it to be activity oriented. A picnic in teh park with a childrens play area would be perfect- but knowing London weather in October- thats not a reliable plan- so am looking for something indoors. Someone suggested Gambados or Gymboree or Tosy Turvy- does anyone have an experience of toddler birthdays in any of these places. Also would you know of any other places around canada water/canary wharf that could be good to hire or go to for the party? thanks a lot

Honestly, I think 2 is too early to bother with a party. My DS had 2 friends round (or friends of mine with similar age kids) and lots of brightly wrapped little things to unwrap. Will do parties from 3 when he has friends he wants to invite.
Hope you ind something you'll enjoy.

Lots of my DS's 'friends' had Gymboree parties for their 2nd birthdays. They were a lot of fun, but are really expensive to do!

My DS is two in October as well. I wasn't going to bother with a party as he won't be expecting one, but then he went to a couple of 2nd birthday parties over the summer and all the children really enjoyed it.

We are just going to brace ourselves for the mess and invite his favourite friends round to our house, and probably do a chocolate hunt in the garden as an activity (like an easter egg hunt, but with treat size chocolate bars).

Just because they aren't really aware of birthdays and won't remember the party in years to come doesn't mean that they won't have a great time on the day :)

Hope you have a fun time, whatever you decide to do.
