I know, its too early and most of don't want to think think about Christmas in September.....But like many of us i have to plan and budget, i was just wondering how much do you spend on your children? Per child? If i really look at how much i've spent on gifts they didn't really need in the past it is shocking! Anyone else got tips for gifts on a shoestring?

I spend about £20 each on my two, and they're usually practical gifts (last year they got a breakfast set each and some other small things). They get presents from grandparents as well and some of our other friends and I think it's enough, to be honest. I hate the whole sea-of-plastic thing that some of our friends go for.
