At what age did you put your DC into a big bed?

My DD is nearly 18mo and still in a cot. This is fine atm but as am pregnant with DC2 am aware that ideally I dont want to have to buy a second cot as DD went into hers at 3mo as outgrew the moses basket. By 2yo I would have thought she could go into big bed but honestly dont really have a clue!

So thoughts and experience please Smile

Last week, DS is 12mo at the end of this month but he's big and in the cotbed kept waking himself up getting legs/arms stuck through the bars.

I put him in the Step2 Cosy Coupe bed and he sleeps like a log now. :o

18 months with a guard rail. I was fretting over it as up to then she'd been in the cot in our room but she never looked to get back into the cot or our room.

Cotbeds are a waste of time, IMO. Best to put them straight into a proper bed and that way you don't have to go through the whole charade twice over.
