Which doll for DD?

Sorry if this is a bit unimportant compared to other parenting questions Blush

DD is 18mo, she takes great interest and excitement in dolls but doesn't have a 'proper' doll (she had soft ones but not a realistic type doll). I've looked in shops and online but got so confused with all the baby annabels/baby borns/babies that wee/babies that cry/babies that drink from a bottle etc etc. I have no idea which one to go for and can't find one that fits my criteria (which is to have no hair (as it'll only get dirty and messy) and have plastic head/arms/legs but a soft body). Does anyone have any recommendations or can steer me to something please?? There are just so many out there I'm all of a muddle!

19m DD2 is sort of playing (I use the term lightly!) with DD1's Baby Annabel. She has a hard, hairless head and a soft body (with hard hands and feet). She sucks a dummy and coos/sleeps but doesn't eat or wee Grin. I think DD1 had her for her 3rd birthday so she's around 3 years old but I've no idea if the current ones are the same.

My DDs have baby Annabels, which are nice for cuddles as they have soft bodies. However, there is a baby Bethany, who was originally DD1's, who is a favourite with all of the DDs, as she is completely plastic and can go in the bath Smile

Warning on the baby Annabels - if they are still turned on after your DD goes to bed, at some point you will be freaked out by this doll turning her head towards you and cooing at you.... this is rather disconcerting, especially if wine has been taken.

poledra Shock that sounds like the stuff nightmares are made of! Thanks for the warning. Have seen a few baby annabels in TKmaxx but they all have hard bodies - maybe that's just as tkmaxx has limited stock choice though.
