Dc 10 months is down for bed at 7am. She used to do 7-6.30am but for about a month now starts her day ay 5am!! Putting her to bed later makes no diff, sometimes it makes it worse actually because she's overtired.
She always goes to sleep awake and can self soothe no problem.
She has one 2 hr afternoon nap 11-1pm a day.
She always wakes at 5am shattered, yawning, crying etc.
Any tips on getting her to go another 1-1.5 hrs? Thanks

Has she got black out blinds?

Dd wakes at 5am, I creep in, pick her out of bed and sit and feed her there in the dark. After about 6/7oz she then gets put back with her dummy and teddy and drifts back off.

Sometimes she jabbers on for a bit but I ignore all noises apart.from the upset ones until 7.30.

Do you feed her at 5am? I'd treat it like a night waking, and feed her.

i would feed her and if she's still awake pu her back in the cot and go back to bed. DS does it sometimes i just leave him in the cot and ignore him, to start with he would lay in there babbling and moaning for ages but now 10 mins and he's ready to sleep again

I'm afraid there's probably not much you can do apart from wait and hope it gets better soon... my DD went through similar phases, but thankfully it usually sorted itself out after a month or two.

Success! I fed her, kept her in her darkened room instead of bringing her in our room and she fell asleep until 7.30am!! Feel so refreashed! Thank you everyone.

Yay!! I found with dd that ad we do that every morning if for some reaso she slept through til 7.30, we could still feed her and put her back down again for the odd lie in Grin
