All-in-One Reuseables Without Pockets?

I'm currently on a trial of reuseable nappies (have been provided with a big bag containing lots of different sorts and makes). So far, the hands down favourite is Pop n Gro Onesize - mainly because it is so easy, doesn't require stuffing, and minimal handling after use/before washing - a major plus for my DH! He really doesn't like the idea of having to unstuff a dirty pocket nappy (neither do I tbh!), but that seems to be recommended prior to washing them.

In the trial pack, this is the only one of this design, and looking on real nappy websites at AIOs it isn't clear which are pockets, and which aren't. Any suggestions for similar designs?

I never unstuff my Tots Bots AIO, they just unravel in the machine and come out clean anyway.

As for AIO without pockets - I did have some Kushies Ultra but I didn't like them (took ages to dry, leaked anyway, outers rotted). Judging by the availability and prices on Amazon, I'm not sure if they are made anymore.

Another one adding that I have never unstuffed my BG pockets either :-) They unstuff themselves in the wash, and dry much quicker...

I've bought loads of nappies from these guys and they seem to do a fair selection of AIOs

I really like wonderoos. They are pockets but there's no flap, the pocket is nice and big and the inserts are wider at the top so easier to pull out (or maybe the wide part is meant to be at the front?!) Once you're dealing with post-weaned baby poo that fleece layer on the pocket nappies is well worth the faff of stuffing them.

You could also have a look at bumgenius freetimes.... They're AIOs but there's nothing to unstuff, not using them yet... Still waiting to drop!.... But have had amazing reviews from friends who do. Smile

thanks for all that - definitely useful to know that the pocket ones don't necessarily need unstuffing! I've just washed the trial nappies (inc. BG, popngro, totsbots) and all but one of the pockets has indeed unstuffed itself Smile. I'll take a look at the other suggestions too. I'm not sure BG would work for us long term - LO is quite long, I've heard bigger kids can grow out of BG before potty training.

I've got some MioSolos I really like, they are birth to potty and are long on the tallest setting so vg for a tall baby, my DD is long (99th centile!) and is still on the medium setting at 12mo whereas we had to have tots bots easyfit on the longest setting already. The insert in the MioSolos comes out by itself in the machine too. They aren't cheap but the nappy lady had them on offer if you buy 5.

Kushies worked well for me, though on getting them out again for 6mo dd, one of my five secondhand ones has cracked around the legs.
Totsbots AIO were good on dd.

I prefer stuffables for drying time and ability to add extra boosters. If they were supremely icky we just tossed in machine and separated after - boosters would be a bit stained but ok.

NappyShedSal · 09/09/2012 23:09

Mio Solos are pretty much a copy of the Tots Bots easifit so they do have an insert which goes into a pocket. I really like the Pop'n'Gro birth-to potty nappies, but make sure that you get the V2 not teh original version- you can tell the difference as it will have 4 sets of poppers on teh front, not 3, and teh microfibre booster in the V2 is quite slim and not fat and bulky.
I don't think there is a better AIO without a pocket.

Ooh thanks Sal - I just bought some pop n gros on ebay (new, unused, unwanted, cheaper than from the shops) but not sure what version, didn't realise there were different versions!! They look the same in the photo as the ones I've been using in the trial so hopefully they'll be ok! They are def the PnG Onesize anyway.

MioSolo sound good too - I might have a few of a different type, just for variety :)
