My dd turned 1 last week, our routine is something like this:

Anytime between 6-7am wake, milk
7.30am breakfast
10am snack
10.30am sleep about an hour
12.30 lunch
2pm milk
2.30pm sleep for about an hour if we're lucky!
5pm tea
6.45pm bath, milk, bed. She's usually asleep by 7.30.

I'm planning on replacing the 2pm milk with a snack soon. I also think that we'll change to one sleep after lunch as she sometimes doesn't want to sleep in afternoon if she's had a long sleep in the morning. So it'll be

6am-ish milk
7.30am breakfast
10am snack
12pm lunch
1pm sleep
Snack when she wakes so around 2.30
5pm tea
Bath and bed as before

How does this compare to what you do?

My son is 14 months, his routine is roughly this:

7.30am - breakfast and milk
10/10.30am - snack
12pm - lunch
1pm - nap for no more than 2 hours
3pm - snack, usually a yoghurt
5pm - dinner
6pm bath
6.30pm - milk
7pm - bed
Sometimes I do his bath at 5 and dinner at 5.30 depending on how tired he is.

I had no routine at all when DS was one. He slept any time, ate any time, went to bed (co-sleeping) whenever we did. It was great, and it certainly made for an easy life in the short term, but lookin back I do wish that we had introduced more of a pattern to his days as I think that most children find routines comfortable and reassuring.

My Ds is one next week

6-7 wakes
7-8 breakfast
9am nap for about 60-90mins
10.30 snack
12.30-1pm lunch
2pm nap for about an hr
5pm tea
6-6.30 - bath
7-7.30 asleep

I don't know if I need to start tweaking his naps a bit though as he has started to wake (although is has also just started crawling)

mine is only a rough routine not very fixed. basically milk morning and night, and sometimes if he seems to want it inbetween or is upset or anything like that, and also to put him to sleep for his nap (hes bf and it still puts him to sleep)

nap time is middayish - if he really doesnt want to sleep he will miss it but then he tends to just fall asleep at 5pm

meals are at normal meal times but not really fixed. say 8am, 12pm, 5pm ish and snacks not on a schedule at all

bedtime i do early normally, between 6-7 depending on day. but if we are out then let them stay up later
