Talk to me about Transformers toys...

DS has his 5th birthday coming up soon and he has just gone NUTS over an advert for a Transformers toy with the word Cybertron in it but I wasn't really paying attention and don't know what it is. It's one of the 'robots that turns into something else' toy, not one of the videogames. I've had a Google and there seems to have been a Cybertron thing out in the 80s but this was definitely an advert for something new. Anybody got any ideas?! There were 3 robots and he wants the red one if that means anything to anyone :)

Each Transformers box has a rating - easy, medium and hard - printed onto it. DS1 is 4 and he can manage the easy ones very well by himself.

Could he have misheard the name? The arch baddie is called Megatron.

Oh bless you all for searching for me, thank you! I still don't think it's any of those but I am now thinking that maybe one of the others turned into the plane but the red one didn't and he just assumed they were all planes. Or I see that there is an Xbox game out so maybe it was an advert for that and the toy doesn't exist! After all, if it was an advert for a toy that's out now (or coming soon) then we would have found it by now... He did this to me last year too - he was desperately crazy on something at Xmas that I didn't know about and an MNer found it for me - it was about £50 and he played with it for all of 7 minutes :o

The alternative is to stay glued to the TV for the next 24 hours in the hope that the advert gets repeated...
