Did I do the right thing, feeling guilty....

My swine of a son pinched my boob this morning really hard after I upset him (i had him wrapped up in a blanket and kissed him.. thought he was laughing but he didn't like it so was a genuine mistake!) I was so cross (and sore) that I gave him a little pinch back on the arm.. he cried forever, which he doesn't usually do.. now I feel awful..We made friends but I still feel guilty.

hmmmm, in the heat of the moment i can't say that i would never pinch back BUT by pinching him ur not showing him that pinching is wrong.

Your friends now though, do something nice this afternoon to make up for it and don't dwell its done now

Did he do it playfully? You're instincts are to pinch back i am sure all of us at some point have done something we shouldn't have, Don't beat yourself up over it, if you've made up then put it down to experience and move on. don't worry. I think a mother is always feeling guilty for something, lol.

thanks mum. talking to my ds is like talking to a brick wall, so sometimes showing him is the only way he'll listen. it worked for biting but he was 3 then, nearly 6 now.. taking him to london after school so plenty of one on one time with him. feel a bit better now, thanks love
