Booster seat for dinner table

My 2 year old has grown out of wanting to sit in his high chair, but isn't yet big enough to sit easily at the table. I am looking for a good booster seat and would be grateful for any recommendations. He will refuse to be restrained, so is there a booster seat on the market that he can safely and independantly climb in and out of?

I wouldn't personally want DS able to climb independently out of a booster seat, as it will obviously be easier to climb onto the table than the floor

I tend to sit my son on a normal chair and just put a cushion on it for a little extra height, he's probably a little too small really but I give him the choice of that or his high chair and that's usually where he chooses to be :)

Alternatively could you look at getting him a child size table and chairs, ikea do some very cheaply

Is is absolutly worth every penny. Fits any chair securely/ comfy/ good position with tray or up at the table / stands potty training accidents / east to take out and about / use it on the floor etc etc. I have used it from 6 months and my DS who is now 2.8 will be in it for a while yet.

It is great and two of our friends bought the same. It is not too ugly either.

Ive got two trip trap chairs. Work great as the height can be adjsuted.

I had a fisher price one, any should be fine as long as it attaches securely to the chair. The FP one has straps and had a sign saying you shouldn't let them climb in and out but I just used to hold onto the chair so it didn't tip and DS was fine.

Agree with jjazz and BertieBotts that fisher price one is fab, the bottom moulded plastic makes it easier to clean than other booster seats.

I actually still have mine, for visitors with young children. Both my two who are now 9 and 6 have a Baby Dan like this and I adjust that as they get taller.

Make sure the fisherprice one can fit under your table though when it is on top of the chair. It has adjustable legs if you like that make it taller. We also used to take this to restaurants with us rather than have a high chair.

I'm looking to a booster seat for the dinner table and just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

My little girl is 21/2 and quite small for her age so would probably want to use it for a while. I live in a small house so the plastic ones seem a bit big for storage. Do the travel munchin ones last? Would probably use 3-4 times a week.

With a boisterous 1 1/2 year old, he seems to prefer having this strapped to an adult chair, rather than use the unwieldy and now unsafe highchair once used by the now older daughter. It's better to take with us when visiting friends and family, as well, as they can't all be expected to have highchairs!
