my nephews girlfriend run off with there son

hi need some advice my nephew as a 18month old boy on Friday she left to go visit her family at 6 clock she text to say she's not comeing back he is devasted as as they have never been apart from birth the family he is around he as never seen them ever apart from her dad when he was a few weeks old he desperately won't his son back as her family have a very bad history of all sorts he fears he's not safe and his girlfriend as tried to take her own life in the past can anybody please help thanks

Is he named as the father on the birth certificate?
Has he tried phoning the house to see if she will talk to him?

yes he's on the birth certificate he's called but just gets loads of abuse form her an her dad she keeps ringing him sayin she's won't to come back home then text to say im not comeing back
