I'm also in this situation at the moment, ds keeps saying he wants to go to bed with just his pants on (he's 3.5), but he fell asleep on the sofa a couple of weekends ago & we had a little accident, so am really not sure what to do. I know all kids are different but is there a general age when they are usually dry through the night?

they become dry at night when the special hormone that suppresses urine production over night kicks in.... anywhere between 2 and 6+ years.... some earlier than others!

Some do it "over night" others have progressivley fewer accidents until you think WOW they are officially dry at night now!

Until the horone kicks in tho you really have not got a chance... (however when they start having some dry nappies it shows it must be starting to be there or else you would have no dry nappies!)

My 5.5 yr old is still wet at night ,he appears to have quite a week bladder ie ; during the day as soon as he has had a drink he needs the loo. Most nights he needs two visits ,but is intent on not wearing nappies ,so we put on the loo before we go to bed but at the moment he wakes us up at three ish wet !Shall we just give up ?and go back to nappies until we get dry nappies?
