DS was totally uninterested in his other than as something to kick once his legs were long enough! Total waste of money imo, I wouldn't bother buying one if I had my time again so I would say don't spend much!

My dd loved her cot mobile and really responded to it for months. She is 10 mths and still giggles and laughs when she hears it. It was m&p. My only tip would be to look for one with the longest playing time possible. Bit of a faf having to re wind it every other min!!!! I later got a chico moon that plays a tinkly lullaby ona pull string - plays for a bit longer. I have a fisher price Precious planet. DS is 20 weeks and still loves it. I'm sure we'll get a lot more use out of it, as we can remove the canopy and it projects images onto the ceiling.

DS1 has a Fisher Price Rainforest one, it has a long play time (15 mins) and from about 4 months he used to switch it on himself when he woke in the night and it would send him back to sleep. He's now 22 months and still has the music part on his cot (mobile part was removed when he started to stand). He still switches it on at night if he wakes!

My dd at 19 weeks has just started loving hers! She doesn't sleep in the cot yet, but I can put it on and it keeps her happy while I tidy the nursery, put her clothes away etc. I got it second hand off eBay for about a fiver - loads of nice ones on there.

Neither of mine were remotely interested - total waste of money.
