Teenagers bedtime?????

My ds is 14.5 and goes to bed at 9.30 on school nights and 10 at weekends, he has to be up by 6.30 each morning except sunday.

However tonight he has had a big strop telling me all his friends stay up till midnight and they laugh at him that he stops messaging them at 930 his bed time.

What time do your teenagers go to bed?

ds, same age, goes to bed when he is tired in the holidays, which can be anywhere between 10 and 11.30pm, but never as late as midnight (apart from Olympic Opening Ceremony night). One night he was so tired, he nearly went to bed before 9!! He doesn't have to get up in the mornings, though and will sleep in if allowed until lunchtime.

In term time, he is at school and has lights out at 10pm and is up at 7am.

Thanks shiney, i do feel a bit mean at 10 in holidays but he does a paper round so has to be up at 6.30 and is really grumpy if he doesnt get enough sleep.

Hi dd is 14 will be 15 in a months time. I'm pretty flexible tbh and have no set time in the holidays so long as she is up and ready to help/go out the next day. She's pretty good at sorting herself out. During term time she goes to bed between 9 and 10 has to be up at 6.30 no matter what. She is a morning person though.

I must have the only teenager that is in bed before my 11 year old. She is always up about 6ish in the morning though so normally takes herself off to bed about 8.30 ish (she's 15). :)

I was one of those strange teenagers who naturally took myself off to bed at 9 and woke around 6.30. I'm still a lark.
