Dh and I work together very closely but as the years have gone by (oldest dc is seven now) its clear that left to our own devices he'd be much more relaxed about treats, food, bedtimes etc. Left to my own devices there'd be much less fun and more grumpiness despite the fact they'd always eat well and go to bed on time. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised as this does mirror our upbringings.

Have you been surprised by any differences you have and compromises made?

My husband has developed the "anything for an easy life" method Grin

My DH wants a routine in place for naps, feeds etc. He isn't an organised guy normally. Annoys me though as I ebf and feed on demand. Its also me who spends all day with her all the time so it would be me putting up with the crying. I thought it would be me who would want a strict routine.

Dh has that-incorporated with the "oh, go on then" technique Wink. And both of us have become slack on the telly front Blush.
