If you had a water birth, does your DC like water/swimming?

Random I know.
DS born in water and mad on swimming. Also liked being in big bath with mum and dad from day 1. Even when v v small and a screaming reflux nightmare challenging baby you could put him in water and he cheered right up ASAP.
Friend's DS also born in water and mad on swimming, water in general.
Her MIL this this is because they were 'born water babies'.
I said I would ask MN to see if other people had noticed whether water birth babies liked swimming etc so here I am, asking.

All 3 of mine love water but only the last one was born in water.

She would spend all day in water if you let her though.

Mine was an EMCS following induction for pre-eclampsia and failed forceps and ventouse (no water involved at any point) but my daughter is never happier than when she's in water.

I /wanted/ a water birth Grin

ds3 was born in the pool and doesn't really like swimming at all. he's happy to paddle, but freaks if out of his depth even if you're holding him

Ds (7 months) was a water birth and never happier than when in the bath/paddling pool/swimming pool.

DS (11.5 months) was a water birth and LOVES water. Swimming or bath. He would happily spend the entire day in water....or naked, which, unsurprisingly, he was also born Wink

FWIW I think it has bugger all to do with being born in water Grin

I also think it has bugger all with being born in water :)
But it is quite a sweet theory.
I suppose it might be that if the mum likes water and wanted a water birth she might be happy in water and therefore go swimming or enjoy lots of baths with her baby...so the babies get to be in water a lot and happy mum happy baby etc...
