My dd is 6 and having her first friend over for a sleepover on Tues. What can I prepare/organise to make it a good sleepover?

Just assume it will be a 'wake over'!

6?! That's young!!
I'm insisting no sleepovers until year 3 unless it's family

6 is fine- if you and they want to do it.

Agree with exotic. Thinking of it as a sleepover will just cause you disappointment Grin
I've always found making sure there is a good supply of snacks and leaving them to it works best. I sometimes do a bit of baking with them as well usually goes down well.

My mum always used to set up beds in the living room and at about 11 she would put on a video for 'quiet time' because my brother was asleep. I never did manage to stay awake for the end of the video!!

I send to bed at normalish time but with DVD on portable player. I put lights out between nine and alf ast and it's been fine. I suspect they will start staying awake half the night as they get oder.

I did a scavenger hunt in the woods for them so we spent about an hour and a half stomping round the woods before bedtime. My plan was to get them tired - it´s difficult to tell if it worked - they might have been EVEN more over the top otherwise! :)

Yeah I was thinking about a late afternoon /early eve trip to park and then dvd and lots of snacks downstairs and then bedWink
