I got rid of mine when DS was able to stand up and pull it about. We have a caterpillar song thing now that is tied to the bars instead.

I always thought you had to get rid of cot mobies once they could reach them.

DS has a windup music thing and DD has one with batteries that plays different tunes and will do a light display on the ceiling.

No it is not just you. DS would sleep nowhere, and I mean we tried everything, but on me for 9 months. After nine months he would sometimes sleep in a cot by our bed or in bed with me. At 15 months I'd had enough.

DD started sleeping in a moses basket but at 3 months decided she much preferred to be in bed with Mummy. That lasted until she was around 15 months too when she decided she preferred to play rather than sleep with me. Moved her into her own room then and just got up to her if she wanted a feed. She was always a quick feeder so I was back in bed in 10 minutes and everyone else stayed asleep Smile.
